Project Challenges

  • Heavily operational tasking
  • Large amount of modification activity
  • Ensuring that squadrons have the correct numbers of the most modernized aircraft for operational employment while allocating lower capability aircraft appropriately
  • Maintaining a long-term preservation plan to right-size the inventory to projected future resourcing plans

Project Approach

At a recent Bi-annual planning meeting of all fleet stakeholders fleet assets were reallocated from squadron to squadron to ensure adequate numbers of the right configuration were allocated to the right units to ensure operational requirements.

Depot maintenance schedules have been adjusted to ensure a smoother flow of aircraft through service providers. This ensures a smooth flow of aircraft from the squadron and also ensures steady flow of work to the service providers in order to maintain the required skilled work force that interrupted work schedules can deprecate.
